This paper is focused on the field of investments. It first outlines my experiences as an intern at a Merrill Lynch office. The following connection essay was developed to connect my internship to coursework in the Economics and Business department. The essay goes through the process of planning a portfolio. This is a process that financial advisors must execute very often and was covered in Dr. Moffit's Investments course. The essay contains a portfolio which I built using many strategies and a great deal of research. All of the research cannot be outlined in the connection essay and the portfolio itself should be regarded as a piece of work distinct from the essay due to the fact that it utilizes much more information than is presented in the connection essay.en_US
