A Market Study Conducted for Farm Credit Services of Schoolcraft, Michigan
Abstract
The primary purpose of this study for Farm Credit Services of
Schoolcraft, Michigan is to determine the present market situation,
in the Country Home Loan market, and devise a plan that will
improve the market share, and capital of Farm Credit Services.
Three counties were involved in the study, and research was
approached using three methods. (1) Mortgage data was obtained
from county offices; (2) Verbal surveys of the industry were
conducted and (3) Industry data were collected from various
agencies. All information was then analyzed to get ideas of market
trends and the strengths and weaknesses of the competition.
Market analysis, and evaluation of the competition lead this
student consultant to conclude that Farm Credit Services can readily
increase its market share in this highly competitive market. The
conclusions and recommendations were the result of practical
marketing research methods. Evaluation and discussion with
successful persons and institutions in the industry, for comparison,
were utilized.
