Abstract
This executive summary of the report entitled: “Planning Principles for Diversity” briefly describes the methodology, findings and conclusions. It includes all recommendations set forth in the complete report, along with some selected supporting information provided in the appendices. During this information gathering experience, the consultants have remained mindful of the K College Mission: Kalamazoo College prepares its graduates to better understand, live successfully within, and provide enlightened leadership to a richly diverse and increasingly complex world. This mission clearly establishes a solid framework for all members of K College to continue to pursue a process of cultural change, which is planned, directed, coordinated, steady and sustainable. Awareness of this mission was evident among all those interviewed for this study; and their consensus of a renewed hope and reenergized commitment for diversity is very encouraging.
