Abstract
I worked at Elite Model Management Chicago during fall quarter of 1996. Elite Chicago is a member of the Elite group, with other agencies in New York, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Brussels, Milan, Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen, San Paulo, and Tokyo. Elite Chicago houses separate modeling and stylist divisions to meet every marketing need: Women: The Women's division represents the finest models in the world. Their talents range from High Fashion to Editorial, Elegance, Junior, and Plus Size. New Faces: The New Faces division is a scouting, development, and booking division created to find, strengthen, and polish new female and male models. Men: The Men's division contains some of the best international models, ranging in age from sixteen to sixty. Runway: The Runway division usually consists of models from the Women's division or models who prefer to work exclusively on the runway. My main area of work was with the New Faces division, though at times it overlapped with other divisions. Chris Garber is Director of Scouting and development for the New Faces division. Loretta Wilger-Asmus is the booker for these models and she is also the director of the Plus Size division. They were my supervisors during my WESIP.
