dc.description.abstract | As a citizen of the developing world, specifically, being an Ecuadorian, it is important
for me to be aware of the struggle of the Third World Countries to achieve development. It is hard to see poor people in the streets of Latin American countries begging for money or food everyday without understanding why is there such a difference between the industrialized and the developing world. This experience usually marks a human being throughout her life. This is how I ended deciding to research about a country like Mexico, which has always received the U.S. aid, and still has not been able to achieve development. One of the points that attracted me from Mexico is NAFTA and the possible effects on agriculture and labor using the Mexican point of view. | en_US |
