    Abstract
I first read about the Year 2000 Problem in late 1995. It fascinated me that such a major problem as this could go virtually unnoticed by the business world. It has not been until recently that the problem has been widely reported. However, many businesses (especially small businesses) continue to do little about it. When I discussed what my research paper was going to focus with my boss at my internship, he showed little concern. He assumed that his new computers and software would be unaffected. This is exactly the reason why I wrote this paper. I hoped to raise awareness concerning this impending disaster and show how no one is completely safe from the Year 2000 Problem.
