dc.description.abstract | My life revolves around two very general and overriding processes: dance and the other arts and becoming an adult, male in contemporary America . My SIP was a highlight in the midst of both these processes . It climaxes my formal academic: training in the arts for a while and powerfully strengthened my understanding and ability to cope with manhood. I made no attempt to reflect any other concerns. Maleness is extremely important to me and I wanted the impression of the show to carry with it a strong feeling or maleness. Not the stereotyped view of the American Male but the honest image
or world-wide manhood -- curious , powerful , unpredictable, sexual, timid, pompous , rational , crazy, aggressive, sensual, and, more than anything else, not to be stereotyped. | en_US |
