    (2018) Kalamazoo College
MISSION: As it looks toward its third century, Kalamazoo College reaffirms its mission of preparing its graduates to better understand, live successfully within, and provide enlightened leadership to a richly diverse and increasingly complex world. VALUES: Kalamazoo College values academic rigor and all components of a liberal arts education embodied in our K-Plan; inclusion and equity; residential experiences for students that contribute to their growth as leaders; sustainability; and mission-driven creativity and innovation. STRATEGIC VISION: By fulfilling the priorities set forth in “Advancing Kalamazoo College: A Strategic Vision for 2023,” K will become the definitive leader in integrating academic rigor with life-changing experiential education in a values-driven community. IMPLEMENTATION: The Implementation Plan for 2018-19 includes employing design thinking to enhance curricular and co-curricular offerings; investing in human capital, especially compensation; creating new and adjusting existing programs for traditionally minoritized and marginalized students; beginning the process for building a new natatorium; upgrading instructional spaces; and exploring new ways to engage alumni.

    Master Plan 2012
    (2012) The Collaborative, Inc.
Kalamazoo College Master Plan 2012. The 2012 Kalamazoo College Master Plan was developed over the course of eight months through a highly focused and transparent exercise. Beginning in August 2011, the Master Plan Process was openly conducted and guided by a Master Plan Task Force, which met many times during the Planning Process. The Planning Process also included input from the City of Kalamazoo. Andrea Augustine, City of Kalamazoo Planner, acted on behalf of the City and was a member of the Master Plan Task Force. Representatives from three adjacent neighborhood associations also served on the Task Force. During the Planning Process the College held a total of eighteen (18) meetings with the adjacent neighbors. Some meetings were held on K’s campus and open to everyone while other meetings were with smaller groups, including trips to a local college and high school to view stadium lighting. In June 2011, The Collaborative Inc (TCI) of Toledo was retained by Kalamazoo College to facilitate the Planning Process. Michael DiNardo, Phil Enderle, Sandi Carr and Paul Hollenbeck, coordinated the work of the consultant team.
