Ford Motor Company: Ford Systems Integration Center
Abstract
While I was working at Ford it was necessary for me to give demonstrations of
the work that I was doing. Ford was in the process of deciding whether to buy the
WinRunner product from Mercury Interactive. By giving demonstrations of what the
product was capable of doing the FSIC could make a better decision. Ford decided to buy the WinRunner product to use as their automated testing tool.
By the time I left Ford I had written test scripts for Microsoft Word, Microsoft
PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Schedule+, Micrografx
ABC FlowCharter, Micrografx Designer, Micrografx Picture Publisher, Netscape,
PC3270 emulator, and GIRS. These scripts were left in the possession of Ford. The
FSIC will use them as a basis from which to build their own test scripts.
