Since the introduction of the computer, the computer industry has undergone major changes every few years. As computers become more prevalent, different computing paradigms are needed. In this paper, I intend to define Client/Server theory, discuss how to implement a Client/Server solution, and talk about the different Client/Server paradigms. I will also discuss middleware, talk about the network operating system, mention different standards for the components of Client/Server. I will then discuss some examples of Client/Server technology I have been involved with at my internships with Enge & Associates, inc. and Hewlett Packard.en_US
