MetadataShow full item record
Although much less heralded than global warming, global dimming is an equally remarkable and important climataological phenomenon. Throughout a majority of the second half of the 20th century a widespread and significant reduction in solar radiation reaching the earth's surface occurred causing speculation among climate scientists about the nature of our atmosphere. The purpose of this investigation was to show further evidence of global dimming at the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory and to compare the results with other published reports.
