Abstract
Existing Robot Simulators, such as Gazebo, Webots, and Microsoft Robotics Studio, have
the advantage that they may be used with a wide range of robots. On the other hand, it
may be that none of these are the best option for any particular robot. This paper will
describe a· simulator developed specifically for the iRobot Create. Focusing on one
platform simplifies the development process. It also makes it possible to tailor the
simulator's features specifically to the robot and the research methods that should be
supported.
