Daily Journal while Working as a Field Placement Student at Reproductive Health Care Center - Planned Parenthood / Alternatives of Kalamazoo from December 12, 1977 to March 13, 1978
Abstract
This journal of my work at the Reproductive Health Care Center of Kalamazoo is the first part of a two part project. The second part is a review of the development of the male contraceptive pill, the system in which it would work, its effects on this system, and the
prospects of its use in the future. I started at RHCC with no work experience in human sexuality, let alone none whatsoever within an agency that services so many people
daily. The experience of talking to people, whether over the phone or in person, about sexuality greatly improved my overall interpersonal skills. The pro-choice philosophy that stresses individual responsibility advocated at RHCC is one of the basic strengths we all should exercise throughout our social lives. My experiences through the months are contained within these pages, but the mental and emotional growth during
my stay at RHCC isn't and couldn't be written in a Journal such a.s this.
