The Effect of 12-0-Tetradecanoyl Phorbol-13-Acetate on DNA Excision Repair Replicaiton in Primary Mouse Epidermal Cell Cultures
Abstract
In the present experiment, the effect of TPA on repair replication
is again studied with Gaudin's proposed theory of promoter
action in mind. The distinguishing feature of this experiment, however,
is the use of mouse epidermal cells, a target cell type for the
action of tumor promoters. The supporting theory was that TPA may
have a different effect on repair replication in a target tissue than
in a non-target tissue (Bowden, 1976).
