    Abstract
Injuries are common among athletes and the prompt evaluation and treatment of these injuries is essential. Many high schools do not have a certified trainer to care for their athletes, so a coach or student trainer attempts to serve in this capacity. This paper was written with them in mind. The purpose of this handbook is to supply a quick reference source for the management of common athletic injuries. It is not intended as a substitute for formal instruction (eg. Cramer's Student Trainer Course) but rather as a resource manual.
