Abstract
My purpose in working at a hospital was based on a desire to become better acquainted with the field of medicine and working with patients primarily by learning to draw blood. While at the hospital I was able to work with patients only in this capacity (or when assisting with autopsies, which was educational but not really what I was looking for in terms of working with people). I did get exposed to a variety of things throughout the lab and gained a lot of valuable working experience for which I am truly grateful. I was able to work in different parts of the lab, primarily Hematology, Urinalysis and Cytology and have researched these briefly to better understand what was being done. These reports are submitted are an addendum to the following journal of activities.
