Abstract
The Lillian Anderson Arboretum is a widely recognized, although underutilized, resource of Kalamazoo College. In order to better understand the current and possible future uses of this college owned space, personal interviews, in conjunction with literature research, were conducted to examine the possible future directions of projects and land management at the Arboretum. A variety of suggestions emerged based on the land’s history, current uses, and ideas from faculty and staff about prospects for the future. These are compiled next to several case studies to aid the decision making processes of the Arboretum Committee at Kalamazoo College.
