Abstract
My primary obligations while working at Bronson
Hospital were to the pathologists Dr. Allen H. Russcher,
Dr. Ronald L. Schuin. Dr. Thomas B. Burkhardt, and Dr.
Cassen. It was my duty to assist these doctors with both
surgical specimen examinations and autopsies. surgical
specimens needed to be logged in and provided with buttons
for selected pieces of tissue for microscopic examination.
Those duties required for autopsies are nicely outlined
on a hand-out presented on page 3.
Additionally, I would aid the phlebotomists when
help was needed. I feel that I became very good in
drawing blood by the time I left the position of diener.
This may be reflected in the fact that I have been hired as
a phlebotomist for the winter quarter.
