Abstract
The method we chose to develop is based on,the principle
of measurement of histamine released by enzymatic
hydrolysis of a 'suitable' synthetic substrate. ·(l.e. one
which possesses the basic structural requirements of a
substrate for the enzyme (proteinase) to be analyzed for).
In this initial attempt in its development, we utllize
N-Benzoyl-L-Tyroslne Histamine (NBLT-H1) as a substrate
for the model enzyme, α-chymotrypsln.
