Abstract
The purpose of this project was to gain a better understanding of the field of veterinarian medicine. Two methods were used to obtain this goal, clinical observation and library research. The use of the two different methods plus the difference in the knowledge gained from the use of the two methods has warranted the separation of this project into two distinct parts. By far the most valuable part, the clinical observation, was carried out at The Solon Veterinary Clinical in Solon, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. It involved daily observation from Dec. 26, 1973 until Mar. 8, 1974 under the supervision of the clinic's staff, Dr. Donald Bartels, Dr. Joseph Becka. and Dr. David Koncal.
