dc.description.abstractThe bibliographical works here presented focus on the effects of socio-economic as well as cultural changes on the lives of women throughout Africa. The focus is on the situation of the West African woman. The objective of this essay is to diffuse, through the examination of available literature, information on the contemporary position of women in West African countries. A further objective is to concentrate on the roll of women associations as the agents for economic and social change in women's lives throughout West Africa.en_US
