The project has been a success in relation to the my goals at the outset. I wanted to try and shed some light on the confusion I faced after returning from my studies in Sierra Leone. After returning, I did not understand how a country as wonderful as Sierra Leone could possibly be in the predicament it finds itself in today. Although I was happy with my foreign study experience, I was frustrated over the plight many of my. new colleagues were in. As a result, I decided to spend time researching the subject, with the hope of clearing up some of the confusion I was facing. The project, to some extent, was successful in this regard, but as my Mom once told me, "The more knowledgeable you become, the more ignorant you realize you are." Today I am frustrated and worried about the prospects for the future of Sierra Leone because I have realized the complexity of the problem the country currently faces. The future of Sierra Leone is in question, but ·at least at this point I have a better foundation to understand current events.
