Various Techniques Used in Making Measurements of Celestial bodies

Abstract

This SIP consisted of nine experiments utilizing various techniques for determining certain facts about several celestial objects. Each exercise will first include some background information and then tell how it was performed. After each.one there will be an explanation of the results that were obtained. Most of these exercises contain photographs on which measurements were made. Due to the lack of proper equipment and the unreliable Michigan weather, photographs were not made with my own telescope. Even if it had been possible to use it, it is not large enough to provide, adequate prints for these experiments.
