    Abstract
Every living organism on earth is subjected to the normal geomagnetism. It has been demonstrated that birds can use geomagnetism as their guiding instrument during their flights. because there is slight change of direction of polarity as the earth moves around the sun. But what would happen if the geomagnetic field suddenly increases tremendously as compared to the original field? In this investigation. the effect of large magnetic fields was investigated on the rate of growth of the fungus, Penicillium. It was subjected to different magnetic fields of magnitudes several thousand times greater than that of the normal magnetic field of the earth.
