This image shows the ground breaking ceremony for Hoben Hall on April 21, 1936. Shown from left to right are: Glenn S. Allen, President of the student body and member of the Class of 1936; H. Clair Jackson, member of the Board of Trustees and graduate of the Class of 1896; acting President Charles T. Goodsell; John Hunerjager, President of Williams Hall and member of the Class of 1936; Harold B. Allen, one-time President of the Alumni Association and graduate of the Class of 1924; and Edwin G. Gemrich, graduate of the Class of 1926. The photograph has a signature in the lower right corner from H. Severn. Williams Hall is visible in the background. The photographer is unknown.
