    Abstract
It was the goal of this project to develop a system that would enable reductions In the unit's size and weight as well as enable an expansion to as many as four channels In its monitoring capabilities (four channels would provide adequate Information for most problems encountered). Through the use of radio telemetry all of these modifications can be readily made. Radio telemetry, a method by which data can be transmitted from one site to another remote site via a radio link, would allow the recording section of the monitor to be separate from the rest of the unit. Since this is the biggest, and consequently the heaviest part of the monitor, the weight and size of the actual unit worn by the patient could be greatly reduced.
