Cryostat Chamber Construction

Abstract

This project describes the steps taken in constructing a cryostat chamber for use in hightemperature superconductor research. The paper begins with a small introduction describing the history of superconductor research and some of the important properties of superconductors. The bulk of the paper describes how the cryostat chamber was constructed, how the design was chosen, why certain materials were used, and how the pieces were made. Other than a test run, no data were collected in this project.
