    Abstract
Fuel cell research has reached an all-time high, and stories of the progress fuel cell technology is making are cropping up in more and more articles in a variety of media. This paper seeks to synthesize much of this information into a format which can be easily grasped. Subjects dealt with include types of fuel cells, how they work, the most favorable fuel, storage methods, applications of the technology, and comparisons with internal combustion engines. Hopefully it does so in as complete and unbiased manner as possible.
