Abstract
The present study was performed to determine the
ouabain and isuprel uptake of' turkey erythrocytes.
Turkey erythrocytes are nucleated cells that exhibit some
ATPase activity whereas human erythrocytes are nonnucleated
and exhibit no ATPase activity. The purpose then of this
study was to observe the ouabain and isuprel uptake of
a nuoleated cell. Turkey red blood cells were used as
they were easily obtained from the N.I.H.. dispensary.
