Abstract
Five rabbits and three guinea pigs were immunized with two different
purities or HCG. Antisera were obtained and tested for characteristics of
titer, sensitivity, and specificity versus LH, FSH, and TSH. One highly
specific anti-HCG antiserum was obtained and tested against normals and .
patients whose plasma was known to contain high levels of HCG, LB, FSH, and
TSH hormone. Displacement of patients' plasma, except tor high HCG containing
plasma, was minimal, as measured by radioimmunoassay, with all
high LH, FSH, and TSH producers displacing only as much as normal plasma.
