Some Basic Photographic Considerations
MetadataShow full item record
This paper is intended as a basic primer in the technical background of natural light color slide photography. It is not a complete technical guide but contains what I think is important to know. Essentially it is (with a few exceptions) what I try to think about when I take a picture. It is enough, from a purist attitude, to allow a degree of freedom in creative composition which is my main objective in photography. This is not to say that more technical knowledge should not be gained but with the growth of imagination the technical problems that do arrive can usually be solved by going to basic knowledge and logically expanding on it. By continuing to think, basic expansion may never be limiting.
