Abstract
Throughout the years, research has been done on the language learning process. The theories, hypotheses, and approaches that have been discovered by psychologists and linguists have affected the manner in which language learning (particularly second language learning) is seen today. To help prepare myself for my student teaching with five different Spanish classes at Holt High School, I began to do research on second language acquisition. During my research, I began to discover that there were ways that I was applying and could apply my research in the classroom. This paper is written with the intent of reflecting my research and how I applied it during my 14 weeks with Holt High School. The reader should note that this is paper is a reflection of my best understanding at this of the research done on second language acquisition, and that any inaccuracies are therefore unintentional.
