Abstract
I have chosen to research and attempt to employ alternative means of
assessment in an effort to better prepare students for life after high school. This
involves making mathematics more applicable to real-life, assessing processes as
well as final answers, and finally testing for real-world mathematical skills that are
pertinent in the workplace and in future mathematical ventures. This research project
shows what I have learned about alternative means of assessment throughout my
study.
