My SIP was conducting during Winter Quarter 1998 at Kalamazoo Central High School under the guidance of my mentor teacher, Mr. Antonio Suhuba Baruti. I taught three classes of Beginning Spanish, a class of Bilingual Study Skills and one class of English as a Second Language (ESL). While at Kalamazoo Central, I took on the full responsibility of a classroom teacher and gained valuable skills that will help me to develop into a successful educator. The following contains a profile of the institutional, Mr. Suhuba Baruti, and the events of my internship as they were recorded in my journal. I feel that this experience was highly worthwhile and an excellent introduction to the modem high school classroom.Administrator only due to personally identifying information in case study.
