Represented below is an objective attempt at analysis of the development of a junior world history student, David Hartwell, over the course of my eleven-week student teaching internship. Before embarking on this endeavor, it should probably be noted that I had sort of a head start, as it were, in being exposed to David and his background. David is involved with the "Big Brother" program; this affords young men without a father, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the situation, the opportunity to spend a mutually satisfactory amount of time with an adult male volunteer. The idea, of course, is to have the fatherless youngster grow with and through his "big brother", who would serve essentially as a role model. David's "big brother" is my father.
