This is a collection without a particular theme; rather it is a collection celebrating a particular time period in my life. This time fell between January 2 and March 17, 1988. I spent these days in and around New Orleans, LA. This was the first time I had ever been in this region and I was delighted with what I discovered. It was the foliage that first impressed me. The world was green, green, a luxurious green that was growing so fast, even in January ,that the clay pots cracked under the strain of the grasping roots, and vines wrapped themselves around sheds and telephone poles shimmying to the top to cry "We are alive, alive, and your herbicides shall not harm us. "
