Abstract
As a student teacher at Hillsdale High for the fall quarter of 1985, I was assigned to teach one psychology and four biology classes under two different supervising teachers. The one semester elective psychology class, which is restricted to junior and senior students, covers general psychology topics such as developmental, learning, and abnormal psychology. The four science classes consisted of one Life Science and three General Biology courses. The Life Science is a lower science class in which the very basics of several biology topics are covered including botony, zoology, and anatomy. The General Biology classes are made up of sophomores and academically advanced freshmen. MY teaching responsibilities were similar under both supervising teachers. I was given sole responsibility for all the classes at the end of the second week of my stay.
