Abstract
What follows is an account of my first experience in the teaching profession. Overall, I can say it was positive. I have not changed my mind about pursuing teaching as a career, and I learned more than I ever thought I would. I learned that I can never live at home again. I learned that I know much more than any high school kid (something that had been a concern). I learned that adolescence is a time in my life that has passed and boy, am I glad. And I learned that no matter how many psychology and education courses you take, you still are not fully prepared to teach until you have tried it. This experience was a true education.
