In 1925 President Allan Hoben constructed a house on the northwest corner of campus at the corner of Academy and Monroe Streets (1327 Academy St.). The last college president to live there was Weimer K. Hicks. During the 1977-78 academic year, the L. Lee Stryker Center for Management Studies and Educational Services moved into the former President’s House. An addition was constructed onto the back of the building in 1985. The 2007-08 academic year was the last that the Stryker Center was running. On June 7, 2011 the house was moved off-campus to be restored as a residence by private owners.
