An Examination of the Basis of the Analytical Method in Brian Barry's "Political Argument"

This project is the outgrowth of a course in Social Philosophy. It is an attempt to clarify within the structure of Brian Barry's Political Argument certain conceptual difficulties. An examination of the bases of Barry's schema of political argument reveals the inadequacy of the dichotomy between want-regarding and ideal regarding principles as the basis for a theory of justification.
