The author presents a feminist approach to the basic concern of social philosophy: how do social scientists go about collecting evidence? Can objective evidence exist when those collecting the facts most often bring to their scientific analyses unexplored baggage of privilege, assumptions, and biases? The author considers the problem of how people can freely and honestly communicate in spite of their differences.
