Mathematical Proportions in Modern Architecture
Abstract
This thesis combines the history of symmetry and proportion with a practical application of each to modern architecture.
This application of knowledge and skills gained
through research was introduced in the hope that an hypothesis
might be proved. The hypothesis is that the systems of
proportion and symmetry, which were used by the Ancients,
primarily the Greeks, are still in use today. And in addition,
it such as hypothesis is true, then are these systems
much like those of the Greeks?
