A Study of Art in the Pre-Colonial African States of Oyo and Benin and the Ways in Which it Reflects the Societies of these States
Abstract
The author compares the art of the Yoruba and Bini tribes to show how it represents political and cultural differences that have evolved in these two descendents of the West African Ife Kingdom.
