Hopefully from this paper the reader will receive an inkling of the factors leading to, the work being done with, and the possible theories regarding hypertension. Presently, no one factor is more significant than other one. An organism functions as a totality. Hypertension 1s a state which affects this totality. It may be that when an individual is confronted with hypertension and if be is cured of all other functions which may be even slightly weakened, hypertension would no longer exist. All factors must be taken into consideration as a totality: the known facts, the possibility that hypertension is "only a symptom" indicating disorder somewhere, and new facts of the future.
