Velocity-mapping time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to study the photodissociation of o-nitrosotoluene at 305 nm. Using a three-color scheme, 0- nitrosotoluene was dissociated at 305 nm, the NO radical was excited with a 224-227 nm photon, and then was ionized by a 308 nm beam. The data was analyzed to determine correlation among µ, v, and j in the NO product. The results show little v-j correlation in contrast to recent studies in nitro so benzene.
