Abstract
This thesis will cover all the major prose writings of
Dylan Thomas. Most of the early stories will be analyzed in
detail in order to gain an understanding or the problems that
first troubled Thomas and which can be seen to develop throughout
the subsequent prose. Discussion of Portrait of the Artist
as a Young Dog will center mainly in its last story, "One Warm
Saturday," with some reference to the preceding stories.
