Modeling of Nurturant and Aggressive Behavior by
Preschool Children: Influence of High or Low
Nurturant Models.
In this study, Yarrow and Scott have attempted to define
the concepts of high nurturance and low or nonnurturance in
specific behavioral terms. The high nurturant condition includes
the dimensions of affection; help; protection; praise;
providing; interest; and respect. Low or nonnurturant dimensions
are: limited help; criticism; restriction; lack of
interest; and arbitrary control.
