Novella with Alcohol

My decision to do a creative writing SIP was a little bit unusual as I am now an economics major. When I signed my SIP contract in the spring of last year, I was an English major and when I switched to economics, I decided to stick with the creative writing SIP. After many tried and failed ideas, I struck upon a novel, titled "Novel with Cocaine," by M. Ageyev (a pseudonym), that I connected with on a very personal level. The novel was brilliantly written, and tracked the progress of a Russian youth from a first person perspective. After a series of intense experiences, the youth, Vadim, devolves into habitual cocaine use and eventually, we learn in the epilogue, dies. But more than these broad strokes, the details of Vadim's tortuous psychological journey seemed to mirror my own. So, I sat down and wrote this mimic piece, titled "Novella with Alcohol."
