The topic of cross-dressing opens doors to many disciplines, and provided a unique opportunity to look at the intersection of feminist and queer studies, and to explore how the two, seemingly so complementary, yet so often antagonistic, can together provide an effective critical framework. The most rewarding aspect of this project was the ability to work within both of these disciplines, and find ways to bring the two together and formulate a discussion about female cross-dressing accessible to both feminist and queer studies.
