The following is a journal detailing the activities, thoughts and ideas of Kenneth E. Lacey as he worked during the Fall 1980 quarter at the Independent Business Association in Kalamazoo. The experience as recorded here seems to follow in the classical sinusoidal progression common to most new ventures -- one can chart a graph beginning with the high, excited, optimistic entries in the beginning on down through the anxiety and letdowns of the second month's entries and back up to the recovery of enthusiasm until eventually a stasis is reached.en_US
